A Faster Cydia Alternative
« on: February 25, 2011, 03:37:07 AM »
Add this repo: http://apt.ihackmyi.com/

Install Icy.  It's a faster, lighter Cydia replacement, if you want it. I like it.

Now that Cydia V1.1.1 is released Icy is pretty useless (even more so)

Remove broken packages with apt-get remove

Cydia has a lare monopoly and is slow for secutity reasons
Rock your phone installer was slow because they made dangerous cuts that led to instinbility

Icy is unstable and has almost no security :S I guess Cydia will stay the n1 for a long time

True. Cydia 1.1.1 is pretty fast. (And if its not fast enough there.... add the Cydia speed up tweak found at the whited00r blog (look under "How to speed up whited00r 4.2)
iPhone 2G, 8GB - iPhone 4S, 16GB, iOS v6.1
Multi-Tasking v1.0.3 - Folders v1.2.1 - iOS 3 Wallpaper 1.0.2(1)
