How to make the lockscreen more transparent on whited00r 6?
« on: November 23, 2013, 02:03:47 AM »
Title says it all. How do I make my lockscreen on WD6 more transparent, like in stock 3.1.3?
Just derping around, being one of those rare 12-year-olds that actually use grammar and spelling.

The one in whited00r 6 is like the one from 3.1.3 I thought?   The top and bottom bar haven't changed at all from 3.1.3 to 7x?  (unless they have by getting slightly darker?)

I'll post a screenshot of the differences between WD6 and iOS 3.1.3

EDIT: That is, after I make a restore to 3.1.3 and hacktivate it.

Unless you have something from earlier of 3.1.3 screenshot wise. I'm not really sure what you mean though :( Is it something you think can be changed by a theme? If so, you can probably modify the images yourself and maybe make them a bit more transparent?  If it's lockscreen, it might be in /System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/TelephonyUI.framework (some of it. Mainly used for the phone stuff though).  Might be TopBarBackgroundGray or something like that.

Screenshots!
Top - WD6
Bottom - 3.1.3
I can post a screenshot with a whiter background on WD6 if you want me to.

Odd, I think I see what you mean. Take a look around in the TelephonyUI.framework for the top bar and slider background, the keypad I'm not so sure of the location. It may be somewhere in /System/Library/CoreServices/SpringBoard.app (not sure the name :( ).

Then just edit them with some image editing program that can handle transparency/alpha, like Gimp (free) Photo Shop (not so free :( ) or Paint.NET (free).  Then just make it more transparent for the layer, or use the eraser and make that not 100% opacity so it doesn't erase the entire thing, just makes it more transparent :)
