iPod touch MC WD7 Doesnt work at all
« on: December 30, 2013, 06:21:21 PM »
I installed it on my iPod MC
It was frozen so I turned off my iPod
I tried to turn it on and it showed the Apple logo for about 10 seconds and then shut off
How do I get it to work after I reinstall?
- iPod touch 2G Mc
- iPad 2 wifi
- HTC One M8

Did you let it sit for 5 minutes and then reboot the device twice after installing?

i did reboot it twice

After waiting 5 minutes after it installed?  May need to have waited 5 minutes between the reboots too, as the MC model is different in how it installs the packages and file system.

Will it reboot by itself?

Not that I know of, it wasn't put into the firmware to do that. I know there is a daemon and method to do that but from what I know it wasn't put in.

I'd wait for a while then reboot, wait a little bit longer, reboot and then set up as a new device :)

Do I reboot using home and power buttons or slide to power off?

You can't slide to power off in this state because your iPod didnt boot into WD7 yet. Press the power and home button at the same time until the apple logo fades away. Once it fades away do your restore

Note: Don't keep holding the power and home button after the apple logo fades away. Once the apple logo is starting to fade away release power and home button
