Certain games from App Time Machine crash on Whited00r 7
« on: September 25, 2014, 03:47:32 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I had upgraded my iPod Touch 2G to Whited00r 7.1 following all the instructions listed on the site and had a pleasant experience using it. The only problem I seem to run into is that not all games on App Time Machine seem to work. The following two games below do not seem to work no matter what I try to do:

ARKANOID
TETRIS

These two games install perfectly fine but when I try to run them they show the splash screen and then exit back to springboard. Does anyone know what might be causing this or are they simply not compatible?

P.S The attached image is a screenshot of the TETRIS game splash screen that I see just before the game crashes.

That may be related to the UI tweak. There is a tutorial somewhere but I'm posting from mobile so I can't link you to it :/

Welcome to the forums :)

Does this happen in safemode?  You can enter safemode by running the following command in terminal:
Code: [Select]
killall -SEGV SpringBoard

I will have a look into it! It sounds like that is the problem.

I tried to run the games in safemode and they still seem to crash, it's weird cause I'm sure there was a time when these games ran fine on Whited00r, may have been version 5 or 6.

You could try uninstalling the games from your device, and then copying the .ipa files from /var/mobile/Downloads to your computer using iTools]  or similar and then install them on your device using iTunes or iTools.

Sorry for the extremely long late reply,
I can confirm installing the Apps using iTools has solved this issue, and the Apps now work without crashing :D
