Backgrounder won't work in whited00r 7?
« on: February 04, 2015, 12:35:40 AM »
So I recently got myself an iphone 3g from amazon due to (insert long and unnessicary story here), and of course put whited00r on it. However, whenever I close an app it seems to not run in the background, and dissappears from the multitasking bar.
I have manual multitasking enabled, did not restore from a backup and the problem has been around before i installed any external tweaks.
Any help?  :(

is backgrounder enable in whited00r settings?
The app will not run in background when you close it so you'll have to press the home button until you get a pop up saying backgrounder enabled the app will background or
You'll have to double press the home button in an app and press minimize then it will background...

This is how it works, although to see the minimize option you will need to enable that under the Visual settings perhaps.  (need to have the manual multitasking option and running first though, otherwise it won't show up)

Yes, i have backgrounder enabled. And doesn't double pressing the home button just open up the multitasking bar again?

Yes, it does bring up the multitasking bar. However, if you enable the visual option for having a minimise button, you can background apps using that if you press it in the app you want to background. Then quit it manually later by either holding on the icon and tapping the "-" when out of the app, or when in app by holding the home button until you get the backgrounder popup.

Waitasecond.........
OOOOOHHHH SO THAT'S WHAT THE MINIMIZE ICON IS FOR!
Never tried pressing it.  ::)
However it dosent seem to be working, i tested it with a few apps (Sonic 1, AF FM, settings) and they will not background.
Wonder why.  ???

It does work for me.... Recheck your whited00r settings if backgrounder is enabled or not...

Does holding down the home button when in apps (try settings as a controlled test, as that should always work) bring up a backgrounder popup?

Is the backgrounder option enabled and the settings applied after that?  Try toggling it on then off to see what happens. (applying settings after each toggle - I know you had the option enabled, but it may not have applied under some circumstances)

You can check in /Library/MobileSubstrate/DynamicLibraries/ and make sure there is a file called Backgrounder.dylib (not Backgrounder.disabled)
