My iPhone 3G Can't Read Any SIM Cards
« on: July 27, 2016, 06:02:28 AM »
So here's the story :
after i restore the wrong carrier settings file that i created using custom logo maker on itunes my iPhone can't read any SIM Cards
i tried flash ios 4.1 and then try to downgrade the baseband from 06.15.00 to 05.15.04 but failed redsn0w keeps force closing
and then i restore using wd 7.1 firmware files it does boot and working but now it's still can't read any SIM Cards.
it's only say "iPhone" on the carrier logo.
Now my iPhone 3G still runs WD 7.1 on baseband 06.15.00 and still unable to read any SIM Cards
Can someone help me fix this issue ? it's frustrating since this is my only phone.
i hope i get an first gen ipad soon so i can taste grayd00r on it :)
Stay oldschool, Stay cool :D

Is your iPhone 3G factory unlocked? Model number?

If not try the free AT&T unlock service, when entering your IMEI their database will tell you if it's an AT&T model & if so will unlock it: https://www.att.com/deviceunlock/ I used it yesterday for an iPhone 3G & it got unlocked in 24 hours with an email confirmation & connecting it to iTunes.

"...redsn0w keeps force closing" - Maybe you are not using the correct version of Redsn0w. Try this pinned post: [Solved] whited00r 6 iPhone 3G NO SERVICE NO NETWORK Baseband 05.15.04
