iOS4 apps running on Whited00r
« on: May 20, 2011, 10:07:38 PM »
Hey guys,
I've been sort of lurking around here that last little while. As I understand it, Whited00r is 3.1.3-based firmware, meaning that iOS4 apps and such will not run under it. Has anyone had any gripes about this or simply just avoided 4.0+ apps?
I have been thinking about running Whited00r on my 3G, as 4.2.1 is terribly slow after being heavily tweaked but I'm cautious as I do not want to lose the ability to run my previous apps.

Excuse me if this is in the wrong category.

If you have an iPhone 3G you can put our iOS 4.x based whited00r on your iPhone (3G ONLY).

It is iOS 4.x (also manipulated to be iOS 4.3.1, (Tricked by MattewRE) )

But yes. Regular iOS 3.0 based is iOS 3.1.3 modified to LOOK and have some of the key features of iOS 4.x
iPhone 2G, 8GB - iPhone 4S, 16GB, iOS v6.1
Multi-Tasking v1.0.3 - Folders v1.2.1 - iOS 3 Wallpaper 1.0.2(1)

Thanks for your response. The 4.0 based version of WD is prefered but I think 3.1.3 would be much faster. If one goes back to the 3.1.3 based version of WD, how does one cope with the AppStore and other repositories requiring iOS 4?

Well, I was a bit unsure whether to use WD and WOW  ;D Everything works fine and even the apps I had on 4.2.1 worked (some, not all). Either way, glad I did it!
