Swype for iDevices
« on: July 16, 2011, 01:42:32 PM »
Swype is a recently launched  tweak that can be found in Cydia under this repo: http://wynd.x10.mx

Swype is a text input method used on Android devices. Through "Swyping" on the keyboard of your iDevice, you will see a blue line that shows your path that you make along the letters. So trough Swyping along the letters, there will appear a word. You don't have to tap the letters one by one anymore.

It's a great way to type text quickly.

In the first release there was no blue line that shows you your path along the letters.
In the second update they added that blue line.

There are frequent updates coming for Swype with increased vocabularies and larger dictionaries.

Swype supported all iDevices on all firmwares (well, for iOS 5 I'm not sure).

It works also good with Whited00r.

I enjoy Swype. It makes texting a lot faster and easier.

At this time Swype only supports English.

When Swype gets updates, I will update this topic.

Here's a vid of how Swype works with iDevices:

The source is empty for me, I entered exactly what it said and refreshed and rebooted, but there are still no packages in the source

By the way, it looks like they changed the name from 'Swype' to 'iSwipe' and yes this works great xD!

Weird, it does not lag my iPod touch 1G at all, and 1G is waaay slower than 4g.

The had to change the name from Swype to iSwipe cause Swype looked to much on the real Swype. iSwipe doesn't want any trouble with the real Swype, so they had to change the name.
