Do you recommend WD Based 3.x or 4?

i have an iphone 3g, and i use a lot of iOS 4 required apps. so i would like to stick with iOS 4, but if its going to drastically slow down my phone compared to the os 3 based WD, then i'd rather have that.

so what i want to know is:

If I installed WD 4, deleted all the language packs. used WDSpeedup, deleted all the daemons except for push... (does sms use push?) didnt install any mobile substrates,  and removed all the 2x.png's how fast would this make my phone?
what would be the speed gap from the 3.x setup and this one?

No, as it is still painstakingly slow if you use 4.x

And the 3.x has the same removal, so it would be faster still :P
