You say it as if adding code that saves to a .plist is the easiest thing in the world…

It's not…

I tried it, it didn't work… so I deleted the code… I'll try again later…

I don't think a shell script would be good idea… I mean, all those ToDo lists on the App Store don't use them, right?

I thought it would be. thats why i wondered you didnt use it:D
I dont know what Xcode can do, but when I have to do something this is try to make a database OR let it create a file like

echo '<header>';

for(every entry){

echo '<key>'.$var1.'</key>';
echo '<array>' ;
echo '<string>'.$var2.'</string>';
echo '<string>'.$var3.'</string>';
echo '</array>'
}

echo '<end>';

(this is PHPish^^) the output would then be saved as the file you want it to be.
but this would be PHP and not XCODE:D
Ehm..and soltmeal already mentioned it would be too slow, though i can't believe that, cause the harddrive of the iphone is flash memory and a plist like 10kb^^
what other possiblities to keep the reminders do you have in mind? Launchdaemons that keep the reminders in the RAM?

Yeah, the iPhone core isn't really that small :P   It only takes up a very small portion (maybe 2kb?)

But that is just an idea :P

The Reminders are going to be saved to a .plist… The code I added didn't work… so I deleted it… I'll try to add it again later…

BTW, iPhone programming on Xcode is done with Objective-C…

Sure… but the whole saving mechanism can be coded in Objective-C…

Shell and obj c don't to hand and hand...you can do it but your more likely to get errors.. I know the code and it's not what you posted realblack... Brian your right it's only 2mb but it still slows boot up on the app down. If it's a big deal to have it save I will release beta 2.7 Friday... With saving capabilities

i know it is not the code. it was an example of code. i'm working this way when i use php. I saving the content of dynamic generated page as . html file, which is displayed on next reload of page instead of the php generate the whole page again, when nothing of the page changed.
handy for news or guestbooks.
i think we misunderstood each other. no matter. you are doing great work and i hope it is done in sooner future:D
