iCloud is really only for restoring Game/App data (Is better than Realbackup in that sense).

RealBackup is better for restoring Cydia repos, preferences (although that can mess your device up sometimes), contacts, icon layout, and just all around preference settings.

(iCloud is also a little faster in restoring app/game data)

Hi all! I recently migrated from stock 3.1.2 to the newest whited00r.
Before upgrading, I did a realback of everything. Now Im trying to restore my wifi passwords. Is that something realbackup backs up? If so, how do I restore them?

Great product BTW! Thanks!
Zurdo.

I recently went from 4.2.1 to wd5.1. Will RealBackup let me restore contacts from an old backup i did on 4.2.1? If not, do you know an easy way to do so? Thanks, I have a 3g and Whitedoor noob.

you have to try that on your own. i only know from ios4 to ios5 is incompable. and i think ios4 is able to read ios3 contacts. but if it works other way around dont know.

there is a way on linux to extract the contacts, though you need to put them back in manually

You could make a toggle to see if you should keep the error logs ;)  Useful for you maybe, if people wish to submit them to you.  Just have it check at the end whether to keep them or not.

well they are like 10 different logs. for backup, update, restore, download, startup etc. but i thought of something like that. maybe package them and so one can send them to me.

well you could just have it check one switch, and add in code to remove all the logs,

so
Code: [Select]
if [[ "$variable_for_deletion" == "Yes" ]];
             then rm -rf file_1; rm -rf file_2; #etc
         fi

then its all together ;)   and you can still have them seperate :P

It works great! The uploading works, as well as the ios5 compatibility. But for some reason some of the popups don't work on ios3...
