Help with my modded Whited00r Firmware for MC Models
« on: August 24, 2011, 01:38:40 AM »
So.... after many days of testing and restoring, I have managed to make my iPod restore to whited00r. It is a 2g mc. It starts up, however it just stays at the apple logo. After running greenposion over my iPod, i got what I was looking for. A command line error message. The error: Unable to mount user filesystem. However, I do think I'm very close to getting it to work. If any of you guys with a better understanding of how firmware works can help, I think we can get it working. (FYI: I don't have 3.1.3 shsh blobs saved) If you can help at all, I would be very happy. Below is the link to the firmware I cooked up.

i ask again…why install whited00r(3.1.3) in mc models if ipod touch has 530 mgz cpu and runs 4.2.1 very smooth ??/
just remove daemons and springboard shadows, add wdreminders and wdnewsstand and you are done!

Well, bcooperizcool would need to explain it thoroughly, but he packaged the firmware into a .deb file and all you would need to do is install multitasking & folders from the repod00r repo and it would work. Not sure if the post is still on the forum tho.
