iOS 5 problems
« on: November 22, 2011, 11:10:35 AM »
Hi just installed the rc on a iphone 3g, and wanted to give my 2 cents.
The os feels fast and great. But I have a couple of problems. I only use wifi, and to downgrade from ios4 and loose the data disable button is bad... Even so that the data block and data toogle from sbsettings let gprs pass... So I have to use APN fakers, but the G symbol sits there all the time. Oh and before, when it was on 3.1.3 the data toogle worked, and no gprs appeared. So a port of the data disable button would be great.

The other probem I had, but managed to fix was that the unlocking method used didn't work for my iphone 3g (whitesn0w) I had to install the ultrasn0w unlock. (I'm on the latest unlocking able baseband before the 6.xx.xx, the ipad one.)

for data disable u can download sbsettings toggle "old GPRS/EDGE disable" form cydia it used to work for me.

but if that doesnt work u can always type wrong APN when not using GPRS/EDGE..

PS u dont have to post two times....
