Before I owned an iPod Touch, I wondered/dreamed about the iPhone/iPod having AppleScript…

That would be so cool if they did! From what AppleScript looks like... (Haven't had much experience with it myself) is a Applefied and simplified version of Bourne Shell. Kinda.

AppleScript was released around 1993 to complement HyperTalk (AppleScript eventually replaced HyperTalk… the 2 are very similar)
It's main claim to fame is how close it is to english…
