Spent the last 5 hours trying to update to iOS 5 using whited00r. Then found out that my 3g ipod (which is infact a 2g....) is a MC model and i cant downgrade back to 3.1.3 from 4.2.1.

Can i just be sure that would redd00r be the fix for this? Would it allow me to get iOS 5 on my 2 gen 8gb iPOD Touch which is a MC model running 4.2.1?

Thanks.

I want to break the speed barrier.

Do you think putting butter on it will help?   I don't actually have one ;)

The beta is out in February not the stable version, with only a few days left in February the long wait is nearly over. Hopefully we won't be disappointed with the wait!!!!

Welcome to the forums :)

Sadly, redd00r is not being worked on anymore at the moment (so no release date even being thought about).  When it was active, it only supported iOS 4 devices, nothing more, and didn't make it look like iOS 7 because it was over a year ago for the last update of it.

Even if redd00r does come out again, it will still only be for iOS 4, which your device *can* run, but you would loose features too by downgrading from iOS 6 or iOS 5.

No word or thought on any other projects either, especially not for iOS 5/6 devices at the moment.
