iOS 5 Preference Bundle UI Port [Alpha]
« on: November 23, 2011, 05:15:00 AM »
Put all the files in this folder into your 3.1.3 device folder named preference bundles.

You should now have New UI stuff like

-New Safari settings (private browsing, Search engine, autofill, open new tabs, links in new page)
-In general (Bluetooth, location services)
-Photos (Slideshow)
-Music (Home Sharing, Lyrics & Podcast info)
-Video (closed captioning, homesharing)

Don't delete anything replace if you have to.

Works:
Slideshow settings

Semi-Works:
Wifi Settings and appstore settings are all in caps?
Music and video homesharing settings show up but crash when attempting to enter password/

Doesnt Work
General Settings crashes settings
Mail crashes settings (like you said)
Safari crashes settings
No new safari buttons (open in background, private browsing, etc.)

How did you port this? Aren't these all armv7? Or are only the crashing ones armv7?

Its a work in progress, it requires a lot of changes. And file movement.

All are. Some that don't show up are hard to crack. Like twitter.

I don't get how the heck you are doing this..
I would love to help out too...
Will you port REMINDERS? It would be shameful if the ios5 reminders worked on ios3.

It's impossible. It requires frameworks that aren't available to iOS 3. It might be possible for iOS 4.

But don't some settings things need ios4 frameworks too?
And there must be some way to copy them.... but its been discussed before
