Matt said in the changeling that newsstand and app store needed modification that could be done via the web.

Whited00r v5.1 Bug Reports
« Reply #31 on: January 10, 2012, 09:17:09 PM »
I have made a new configurator for whited00r (which I want to include but apparently Matt's email is full).

I think that it would be a good idea to have toggles to install whited00r apps, I could add that of people like the idea.

I dont think this is a problem o-o cause changelog says
Quote
Whited00r 5.1 Beta 2

The firmware and all features included are stable. Don't worry if it is called "Beta".
Some services (like Newsstand and AppStore) need some modifications but we can do via web.

Note: Configurator and Video Mover menu are not enabled.
but i will still share this info
configurator seems to have some problem
the folder, transparency, shadows and spotlight(yes yes i know vpn doesnt work btw wth is obliteration its like a button to set ur iphone to self destruction O_O) anyways these are showing off, but actually it on so i toggle it back on and press the apply button.Which remains stuck(blue colour) even after reboot, reinstalling mobilesubstrate and hard resetting  ;D

Hi
Just tried the version 5.1 b2 on my iphone 3G.
I was able to install it, but when I tried to install sbsettings (cydia) it stuck after I pressed to reespring  or reboot I dont remember (that looping circle in the middle).
Did I doing something wrong? Is the sbsettings and apps for the whited00r different?
I did a search and the only topic about sbsettings error I have found wasn't the same.

Bug: SBsettings
Detailed Info: Stuck after I pressed to reespring  or reboot when finished the installation.
Is it Reproducable?: Restored 2 times and get the same issue.
What Whited00r Version are you on?: WD 5.1 B2
What Device are you using?: iPhone 3G 16 GB
What OS are you using?: Snowbreeze 4.2.1
What Tweaks are you using?: Don't know...None I think since the first thing I tried to do is install this app
When did you notice the bug?: 11/11/2012

Thx for this custom firmware, I really want to use it since the 4.2.1 is sooo slow.

This isn't just a problem with the WD5.1 Beta release, its been an issue since the 5.0RC. When you install something in cydia that requires respringing, don't tap respring when it is done, instead, open the multitasking and swipe to the very left. When you see double tap to respring, do just that :D

i dont think their is a different sbsetting for whited00r, sbsettings is working correctly for me :D
lol i didnt think their was a issue hehe, i just open the multitasking and swipe to the very left and respring cause its much faster XD & mostly i download the deb from the internet and add to cydia autoinstall via ifunbox

Honestly, 3Store is in no way better than the App Store…

You should be able to re-enable the app store by modifying some plists…

I'll check it out later…

Oh yeah, and why is 3store even included? Realbackup/realiCloud and Wintersled haven't been included…

Here you go ;)

How to rename the "App Store" to "3Store" and how to re-enable the missing original "App Store"...

(remember to backup your files before modifying)

How to re-enable the real "AppStore"...

Edit the Info.plist file in the Appstore.app folder (the second one) and remove the "<string>hidden</string>" from the following lines in the file.

<key>SBAppTags</key>
<array>
<string>hidden</string>
<string>AppStore</string>
</array>

How to rename the 3Store "AppStore" icon to "3Store"...

Edit the Info.plist file in the Appstore.app folder (the first one) and change the following lines...

<key>CFBundleDisplayName</key>
<string>App Store</string>

to:

<key>CFBundleDisplayName</key>
<string>3Store</string>

Reboot and you'll have both apps available on your home screen.

Cheers -Moped
