I agree. The 3Store should be a second choice/ last resort to go to if the Appstore does not have an iOS 3.x compatible version. The AppStore still supports 3.x and will always have more support than the 3store.

I disagree soon apple store will slowly remove 3.x support! By mid 2012 u will hardly see 3.x app(probably game) this is not first time apple store will remove support don't u know same happen with 1.X n 2.X firmware way back! They got old n 3.X is getting old since 2 more upgrades came(4.x n 5.x)
Plus once I read article on 2010-11 statistics of iPhones upgrades there I saw more than 71% have 4.X!

i really dont understand the problem of having both of them... nobody is going to die if we have both appstore and 3store... theres almost no chance to crack all the apps that are 3.x compatible and bringing them to 3store, which BTW many of the ones that are there give invalid ipa while installing... well, just my opinion... having both would be the best for almost everyone on the forum. maybe making a poll or something. see ya

Its not a matter of having both that's the problem. Its making the Appstore launch 3store. The app store is somewhat hidden. Of course the App store will eventually drop iOS 3.x support, but until then... it shouldn't be hidden.

3Store = for apps that the APPSTORE dropped support for, about 100 apps max so far

Appstore = millions of apps paid and free

3Store was not made to replace it.

Exactly. The 3Store should be the alternative. Apple hasn't given up all support quite yet...

But,we will remove it or hide it when the support is dropped. No point hiding it now,
1.ELSE NO1 WOULD RESTORE THEIR DEVICES WITH WHITED00R IF YOU SAY THAT YOU REMOVED APPSTORE?
2.basically,if you are thinking like putting appstore's ALL apps in 3store and updating it EVERY MINUTE,then i will agree, but it could NEVER happen.
3.i dont think so that we can just make 3store to get data from apple's appstore servers..
4.also people who want to buy paid apps, what about them?will 3store provide them, huh?

these are my thoughts.

The Whited00r Team needs to buy iPods 1G/2G & iPhones 2G/3G for testing WD 6.1 Beta, Apps & Features. We need your help to keep WD Free.

You see, there are apps that haven't been updated in ages, and that still support iOS 3, and as iShubham says, People won't install whited00r because we removed a feature...

3Store doesn't even have a good GUI for browsing apps. (no offense). But it loads a web page. It's not something n00bs won't be wanting to do.

Acordding to the law the apple will not discontune making apps for ios 3. It says something like : The product has to do the same things as when you bought it
