iphone 2g wont turn off

Hi guys, okey so i was trying to install v5.1 in my iphone 2g and it gives me an error which is the 1604 error so i know that i have to download a program to fix that error but the program requires to set the iphone in dfu mode and for getting the iphone in dfu mode i need to press the home button and the power button but nothing happens because my power button doesn't work everytime i press the power button nothing happens... anyone know any solutions?

have you downloaded iREB (software for windows)
And iREB has all devices name there on its panel (when you download it and open it)
and then just click on your phone model (iphone 2g)
and it automatically takes your phone into DFU (i think so)
try it and tell me what is result.

What do you mean press... you have to hold the power button.

i already downloaded it and it doesn't take your phone automatically to DFU mode, that's the problem im having... i gotta hold the home button and power button but nothing happens

older version are not supported by whited00r,
i suggest you get your powerbutton fixed which is a important part in restoring and there isnt a older version link in the forum...
you can request to upload in whited00r support (http://www.whited00r.com/forum/index.php?topic=5167.0) which you already have done... the whited00rers will help sooner or later :)

first download and install older version of itunes, like itunes 9
and then enter RECOVERY MODE on your iphone (turn off iphone and then HOLD HOME BUTTON AND ATTACH IT TO USB TO YOUR PC while KEEP HOLDING HOME BUTTON UNTIL SOMETHING CHANGES ON YOUR IPHONE SCREEN)
and then try to restore
