iOS 4 Apps on iOS 3 devices <<-- please read
« on: April 22, 2012, 07:06:14 AM »
Okay i found out that the iOS 4 framework is kinda "open" for everyone to access in iFile. So if i just copy and paste the whole framework to an iPod touch 1st gen, will it work?? And through changing the SystemVersion.plist

Or is it a bad idea??

Well you never know if you dont try, since a next user tryed to do something similar, he took the animations from IOS4 and put it in IOS3 they said it wont work but he said he got it to work and now has ios4 animations on ios3 which is great becosue i would love to have them on my iphone 2g the animation switching apps with task switcher would be nice on whitedoor firmware.

animations and apps are different things......
even if you succeed (without having to restore your iphone) you can only open 1-2 to apps

The carousel animation wont work because it is for native multitasking and the only animation that changed was the apps and dock coming up on the screen when i unlocked my device i no longer have that firmware now.
Think Different
Zen is the way

You ever heard of a forum that allows 1280 x 800 avatars? I didn't think so.

It won't work. I'm pretty sure most iOS 4 apps are coded a bit differently to accommodate new technologies and features, in the newer iOS 4 firmware that are not present in its older iOS 3 counterpart. You might be able to get away with running 3 or 4 iOS 4 apps on the older firmware, but that's probably a very slim chance.
