Looking at what I did, I downloaded Webscrollian which installed Mobile Substrate and Substrate Safe Mode.

And Springtomize... Well you leave these things for us Europeans to play with while your asleep.. ;D

Hi soltmeal :)

Is this the same firmware that was released some time ago OS4 based?

I'm asking because you say "whited00r 4.4.1"...

I have the same question....my brother's iPhone 3G running whited00r based iOS 4 by Soltmeal downloaded from here with name "iPhone1,2_whited00r_iOS4.ipsw" came with two things "iFunBox.exe" and "mobilesubstrate_0.9.3367.deb"
the mobilesubstrate 0.9.3367 version the compatible one with this ipsw maybe that's why i read someppl having problem with mobilesubstrate if it's the same  release

Yep, with this file http://apt.saurik.com/debs/mobilesubstrate_0.9.3367+6.g629fcfa_iphoneos-arm.deb we can install mobile substrate it's not the last version but i don't think this is very important

NO READ THE FIRST PAGE
THIS is a prejailbroken firmware that you can install redd00r ONTO when it COMES OUT, making INSTALLATION EASIER

Hi,

you wrote that this is faster then stock 421, how did you make it faster?

Also is it possible to disable multitasking as i think it will slow the thing down and 3g is very slow even without it.

Once we get redd00r fixed you can install redd00r which will further speed up your device and include a multitasking toggle

I've restored to this custom ipsw on my iphone 3g but since i dont have a sim card holder i can't activate it.
Someone said to try Redsn0w to hacktivate, but redsn0w wont work, the "select ipsw" option in redsn0w comes up as "that IPSW is not supported".
On "custom IPSW" option the error says "sorry, only firmware 4.2.1 is supported for iphone 3g".

Can please someone tell me how to active my iphone 3g? :(

*EDIT*

Nevermind, i took the back off the iphone and held the sim card in place to activate it :D
