Yep, with this file http://apt.saurik.com/debs/mobilesubstrate_0.9.3367+6.g629fcfa_iphoneos-arm.deb we can install mobile substrate it's not the last version but i don't think this is very important
OMG You are a life saver!! I was having problems all day with this and I couldn't find a solution. Thank you so much man! I really can't thank you enough!! I think Soltmeal should add this in the front page of this topic cause it is very helpful!!

Edit: Also iOS 4.3 Apps are confirmed working for me on this firmware :OOOO
I downloaded TextPlus Call (which I couldn't get on kikokoko95's firmware) and it worked on this firmware :D

Wow. I get an error installing it... Depends on iOS 4.2.1 or lower... That is one downside to this amazing firmware.

EDIT: Crap, I think I put this in the wrong topic... It is about the firmware kinda, but I don't think it belongs here. Sorry about that.

Oh I put it in var/mobile and I used iFile to do the installer. I find that much easier imo.

EDIT: Wow, I'm an idiot. I forgot to respring LOL. Yeah I got the app and it is lightning fast! The only thing is that it is missing the icon, but that isn't a biggy.

Oh thats because I made it dependent on ios4.2.1 or lower and the firmware is faked to be 4.3.2

It is doing more than faking LOL! This is some firmware man! Also I found an easy ass way to fix the blank icon. I went into iFile to /var/stash/applications/WDNewstand and in the info.plist I edited the following lines...
Code: [Select]
<key>CFBundleIconFiles</key>
<array>
      <string>icon copy.png</string>
      <string>icon.png</string>
</array>
to this...
Code: [Select]
<key>CFBundleIconFiles</key>
<array>
      <string>icon.png</string>
</array>

What? You mean it's not doing more than faking? It let me use an iOS 4.3 application and the app store looks and feels like the iOS 4.3 version.

How does it feel like 4.3? Is there like a purchased tab?

No but it knows that I have installed this app in my account and instead of saying free, it says install and I only have to click one button to let the download start. iOS 4.2.1 didn't have that to my knowledge.

Well, according to matteo it is based on 4.1 and it is just faked...(although soltmeal says it is 4.2.1..but it's not 4.3.2...)

So I installed this version of mobile substrate but my device still does not have substrate safe mode. The thing is that when I try to install substrate safe mode from Cydia it forces me to update mobile substrate as well.

Any solutions?
