4.2.1 Multitasking
« on: July 12, 2012, 02:33:21 PM »
I am currently working on a fix to the 4.2.1 multitasking glitch so now i am looking at other files outside of the springboard and i have found in System/library/caches/com.apple.dyld/dyld_shared_cache_armv6
that it also has the kGSOpenGLES2Capability in it. I will be posting updates as i found these.

Yes when you enable opengls 2 in n82 or n72 or whatever it makes lines over done and send in messages and youtube.

Well on the first try with the cache file it causes it to get stuck at the apple logo. Going to try it again.

Yes it does work with the ipod touch but NOT with the iphone 3g. The phone just will not use the new file. I have tried but the phone will not boot with the new cache file. With the permissions the same it just will not boot with it.

There is a way to fix this already, it involves openin up the opengles framework and editing the info.plist  to say version 2.0 instead of 1.xx.

I was gonna post about this but i forgot...
I have found another solution that doesnt require anything to be edited
but you will not have the original switcher with the music player... so find another music player.

Solution is...

1. Go to N82AP.plist (you should know where that is since your here) and open it with Xcode (MAC) or PlistEditor (WIN)
2. Enable "Multitasking" but delete "opengles-2" or just enable multitasking
3. Go to Cydia and find a Multitasking Switcher like... CardSwitcher (it costs $1.99 or 2.99 I'm not sure)
4. Install it. and respring or reboot.
5. You will have multitasking without annoying lines.

Pros:
NO ANNOYING LINES!! YAYYY!!!
COOL LOOKING MULTITASKING SWITCHER!!!

Cons:
No Music Player in most switchers...
Most Switchers on Cydia costs! :O (you can find bypassing ways... but Im not going to name it as I am  not going to go to the "Illegal" part)
Oh yes. Hi.
I see you've noticed this Signature. Well, all I can tell you is that there's nothing to see here.
Yes, there is nothing interesting here. Just keep scrolling and we'll pretend nothing happened.

iPod 2G users: I don't know if this will work, because I don't have a iPod.
iPhone 3G users: DO NOT USE THIS! I have tried it on my iPhone 3G before I even found whited00r (which was like 6 months ago) and it basically f**ked my phone up... it was totally bricked... i have tried all i could but its irreversible... unless you restore your iPhone. so do NOT try this method.

Yes it only works with the iPod touch 2g NOT THE IPHONE 3G. I do not know why.
