is it up yet >:( :( >:( :( :( >:( >:( :'(and is it 4.1 or 4.2.1 cuz 4.1 is way faster

It's based on 4.2.1, since the iPod Touch 2G has better hardware than the iPhone 3G.

@Alshararule
Well have you tried deleting langpack? This method was the most effective for me in game performance there are of course other speed ups

Again, whited00r will always be faster since ios3 is way faster than ios4

 :o
I installed the firmware, then removed some various launch daemons... Installed springtomize and then redd00r. I clicked on the utilities folder and springboard crashed. Went through the rigamarole of uninstalling things, step by step, until everything was going, including reddoor. Tried using crash reporter; no info. Finally blamed myself for playing with daemons when I'm a PC and iPod's a Mac  :P . Restored again w/ reddoor firmware. (By the way, the only way I've been able to get iTunes to install redoor FW is by using iREB; I always get a 16xx error w/out it.) First the I did before installing anything was check my folders to see if they open. Crashed again. Problem is either with the firmware or with something that iREB RC5 is doing. Anyone else have this issue? Should I be using an earlier version of iREB? Should iTunes restore custom firmware without iREB? Am I a doophus? Why DID the chicken cross the road?
Regards
Tibey

Update: This is not a solution, but an effective (and aesthetically pleasing) workaround: I installed FolderIconLagFix and then FolderEnhancer from the insanelyi repo. Folders don't freeze the device, plus, they're "enhanced".

Folders crash when they are opened on this firmware is because @kikokoko95 accidently deleted the FolderSwitcherBG~iphone.png from System/Library/CoreServices/Springboard directory. Insert it back and your fine to go. :)
I'll upload the file here later.

How he managed to "accidentally" that image, I will never know…
