I installed the firmware, then removed some various launch daemons... Installed springtomize and then redd00r. I clicked on the utilities folder and springboard crashed. Went through the rigamarole of uninstalling things, step by step, until everything was going, including reddoor. Tried using crash reporter; no info. Finally blamed myself for playing with daemons when I'm a PC and iPod's a Mac

. Restored again w/ reddoor firmware. (By the way, the only way I've been able to get iTunes to install redoor FW is by using iREB; I always get a 16xx error w/out it.) First the I did before installing anything was check my folders to see if they open. Crashed again. Problem is either with the firmware or with something that iREB RC5 is doing. Anyone else have this issue? Should I be using an earlier version of iREB? Should iTunes restore custom firmware without iREB? Am I a doophus? Why DID the chicken cross the road?

Update: This is not a solution, but an effective (and aesthetically pleasing) workaround: I installed FolderIconLagFix and then FolderEnhancer from the insanelyi repo. Folders don't freeze the device, plus, they're "enhanced".
