I got it installed and everything and when I open Terminal it works fine. I then follow the instructions to type in "setup" without the quotations and hit enter. I do this and it is telling me the command is not found. I tried searching and reading for this same problem, but I couldn't find it.

Thanks in advance. :)

What are you trying to do? Trying to run ./Configurator ?

Whited00r, your iDevice's reason to live.

Are you trying to modify the actual terminal or run the ./Configurator file?

Whited00r Setup Tool.

Whited00r includes a suite of advanced tools via Terminal (included in Whited00r firmware by default). You can fully control and customize your Whited00r 6 installation on your device.

Quote
Follow these steps to launch the Setup Tool

Step 1: Open Terminal (MobileTerminal.app) on your device

Step 2: Digit "setup" without quotes and press [enter] to start the script to configure your device

Step 3: Interact with the simple GUI of the Setup Tool

Don't forget to reboot your device when you finish your customization, it is really important.

Once I have whited00r installed I was going to run this to set up my ipod and have it partially hacked and customize it.

I guess it will be trying to run the configurator. I am not sure, I am just trying to do the "setup" and it isn't working. This is the first time I have used whited00r, but I have alway had my ipod jailbroken. lol.

It doesn't recognize setup.

That's for whited00r 6, which hasn't been released yet.

ragingdragon4, here's what i just figured out. To run the Configurator, go to the terminal and enter these commands.

First enter su and return, then password alpine. Then enter the line ./Configurator. That will get you some options to turn things on and off. If you're like me, you won't know what a lot of the options mean, so just follow the advice the Configurator gives and choose No when in doubt.

Sweet I got it all to work! Thanks a ton. How do I get cydia and other jailbreaking things on here. It says I am on the 3.1.3, but I know it is the 5.1.2 or whichever. How do I get cydia on here with other jailbroken things? :)

It is whited00r version 5.2.1, which is still only 3.1.3.

Oh okay. So, I would just be better off with a normal jailbreak? What iOS is whited00r 6 going to be?

it depends really. Whited00r gives you speed and iOS6 feel/features (like folders and multitasking and wallpaper). The highest firmware you can get on your device would be 3.1.3 (for first gen devices).
