Issue With Reinstalling Redd00r
« on: February 22, 2013, 07:14:47 PM »
Okay, so I uninstalled Installous (obviously because it's dead.)  when I did this, my iTouch also uninstalled Redd00r.  So I was all, okay, whatever, I'll reinstall later.  Well, when I try, Redd00r won't install, because my iTouch version has been updated to 5. 0.1 thanks to Redd00r.

Now, I am in deep shit because i didn't backup my iDevice.  I know, I know, whatever, lecture me, but...

Help, please?

I do NOT think Redd00r will update your iTouch to 5.0.1
You probably just modded that file. :/
It is easy to solve it... Im guessing you have a iPod Touch 2G.

This is easy...
Simply Open up iFunbox.
Navigate to System -> Library -> CoreServices
And Open up SystemVersion.plist (You have to be on a mac to edit it. Or Download PLIST Editor on Windows.)
If you installed 4.1 before... Change these values
ProductBuildVersion to "8B117"
And ProductVersion "4.1"
Or If you had 4.2.1 Installed before,
Change ProductBuildVersion in "8C148"
ProductVersion "4.2.1"

Then That should let you install Redd00r again. And also, You can backup in iTunes afterwards :)
Oh yes. Hi.
I see you've noticed this Signature. Well, all I can tell you is that there's nothing to see here.
Yes, there is nothing interesting here. Just keep scrolling and we'll pretend nothing happened.
