I'm using WD 6 for my iPhone 2g and i'm having this problem after i upgraded it.. my phone can't locate my location (i'm from the Philippines) yet it says that i'm located in New York.

How can i fix this problem because i'm getting a problem also from using other apps.?

I hope someone out there can help me to fix this problem.

Hey, I have iPhone 3G and my GPS is not working unless i turn on WiFi. Why is that? :/

Follow the thread that was linked here: Whited00r 6 - GPS problem iPhone 3G Baseband 05.13.04

For that problem ;)

As for the issue with it not getting the right location even with wifi, are you behind a VPN/firewall at a workplace or school or something similar?  Did you try the loading/unloading of the location daemon I posted in that thread?

Before you said it gave you the wrong location, but still a location :o    so even by wifi only, before you ran the commands, it didn't load your location at all, and gave an error rather than just giving you the wrong location?

Hey Brian can you post the link again cuz it's deleted ??? Or PM it to me.. ;)
The link for how to reload the location daemon?   It is a link to a post I made within the thread ;)  It might look like a generic link to the thread though for some people...

Oh, you posted that? I tried to reload the daemon but not working :P Idk if it's HW problem, I'm lazy to restore to 4.2.1 :)
I did ;)  Ehhhh the only way you can be 100% sure if you followed all the other tutorials and it still isn't working is to restore ;)

Same problem I have since end of February. To be more specific I had a trip from Greece to Bulgaria (where I stayed around 1 month). At Bulgaria I used my Data Roaming 2 times only( as it's charges alot) to find my location with Google Maps and after I disabled DATA completely. Coming back to Greece few days ago I reenabled the DATA I can connect to Internet normally but location services have problem... Using EDGE/Gprs on my 2G(WD 6 ofcourse) I get the message that my location can not be found...Using wifi I get a blue cyrcle but it's showing me around 400 klms away... I am on Tinos island and dot is showing Piraeus port in Attica...I tried to load/unload the daemons but nothing happend...

Was it working fine before your trip?
Try turning on the wifi while using location services over edge.  If that doesn't work, try resetting network settings (you will need to enter in wifi passwords and APN settings again) using Settings -> General -> Reset Network Settings.
