The WhatsApp Number Verification didn't work without inserted SIM card for me, so I think it wouldn't work for iPod. :(

Thanks for the solution TC! one problem though, my whatsapp has expired and asks to update to the latest version. When I press download it closes unexpectedly. How do I update the whatsapp?

Do i have to use Linux?
I tried to run it on a Vmware but i couldn't.
Is there another way to do this without Linux?
On iPhone 3G

Yes, but my Wifi is very slow, this method doesn't needs a Wifi connection on the iPhone.

Well there's a way to do it with Windows, but it's really hard and I didn't get it working...

I always had issues with the windows version, even using virtualbox (USB errors, but could have just been my computer).  I eventually ended up just burning a live CD of Ubuntu and booting from that, not installing ubuntu but just installing all the needed tools on the live CD (will be wiped after you power off anyway).

There is only one method, using iDroid, unless you are an amazing developer ;)

It is pretty slow and useless sadly, and the most recent version was Froyo I think.  You can't flash roms or anything, it isn't like android in that respect.  It uses a hack to get it work :/

Install "BootLace" from Cydia and use that if you really want to install android still.  Just be warned you will probably end up needing to restore at some point, if it be from Android powering off wrong, or something like that.
