Requesting some help on enabling mms on iphone 3g 3.1.3. I have changed my APN settings and installed pushfix.info, the T-Mobile US mms fix. I now have a camera icon, but every time I go to send a pic, it just stalls on sending and states that it could not send. At a loss of what to do. Thanks

Are you certain you have the correct APN settings for tmobile?
Try visiting this site and installing a profile for T-Mobile: Unlockit APN Profiles

You follow it step by step and create an APN for T-Mobile, it should have a pre-built one :)  Let me check this out on my 3G to see what I might need to change to get it working ;)

I downloaded it, and it created an icon. When I open it, just takes my back to create an apn page (download again). I restarted my phone and was in safe mode. Deleted the tmobile mms fix in cydia in order to get out. ?? Not sure what's going on.

It should have asked you to install a profile on the iPhone, go to Settings -> General and see if there is a field for profiles, or else for Unlockit APN.

If that doesn't work, try setting the APN manually if you can, by following this guide (I know it says for 6.1.x, but it will work on 3.1.3 as the layout in the settings app has not changed).
T-Mobile Support - APN Settings for iPhone

ok, I checked under general. there is a profile called apn carrier settings, and it does have the info for unlockit. When I look under the cellular data, it has the apn as wap.tracfone but there is nothing else listed. I tried sending a mms and doesn't work still.

I can try the manual settings. Do I need to delete unlockit app?

Ahhh... Yes, delete the unlockit profile from the settings and that will remove the app (which is actually just a bookmark to a webpage), then set the APN manually.

Oh! Is your service not actually T-Mobile?   That is important ;) My dad uses StraightTalk, which uses the T-Mobile towers (I think), but he can't use the T-Mobile APN, because it isn't for his SIM. (Confusing, I know, but he needs the APN for his carrier and SIM).

Try using the net-10 APN then, instead of the T-Mobile one (if your SIM and service is for T-Mobile, even though it uses the T-Mobile towers)

From their site: NET-10 iPhone Support

Quote
Please note that this will not enable MMS (Multi-Media Messaging) and we do not support this service for iPhone customers.

So it looks like they don't actually support MMS for the iPhones, which seems very odd, but I am not them :(

Anyway, you can try the first page with the instructions for T-Mobile, just in case those settings work :)

Guess they really don't support it then :/

It seems very odd though :o  So this is a NET-10 SIM card then, and not a T-Mobile one?

Also, you did uninstall the APN profile from unlockit first right?

Yep, a net-10 sim. I had a T-Mobile number switched over to their service, so I was stuck w T-Mobile towers. Like you said, confusing!

I tried every apn setting I could find online and nothing worked, so I think its as they said. They just don't support mms on iphones. Which stinks!

And yes I did delete the unlockit app. They actually had the correct APN, so kudos to them. It just isn't supported by my company. :o
