This also happened to me.
Just use iReb and follow instructions, It doesn't matter if nothing shows on the screen, after you connect to iTunes you will have to restore.

Did you have any issues with the device before, such as certain buttons not always working when pressed?

I really don't know, openiBoot is use at your own risk, although I have never had anything like this happen.  How long did you leave the device on before pressing the reboot button while you were in android?

I honestly don't know what to do, it is a very very very serious thing you mess with when you use openiBoot.

Well that is unusual, maybe there was a small hardware problem that occurred :o  when I had my iPod touch 1G it had to have the power button pressed down pretty hard or in a certain way/angle for it to work for about 3 months before it got better.   Either way, glad it's up and showing some signs of life :)

Your best bet would be to force the device into DFU mode. And if you cant manage that your device is unfortunately a paperweight  :'(

Hello There,
If the screen is blank that means it MAY already be in DFU mode or you can press power and home button till the device enters into Recovery Mode  and then try restoring it to DFU...
Hope this solves our Problem...
