help me package into ipsw!!!
« on: July 09, 2013, 02:56:43 AM »
hi, i have modified my iphone software through itool (replace springboard png's, blah blah blah) and i copied all of my iPhone's folders on another folder, could some one do me a HUGE favor and package it into an ipsw? i know you only need to just rename it to ipsw but i still do not know how to package dmg files, so i thought an expert could help me with that :D

(btw, if you want to add something giving yourself credit you are permitted to do so :D)
also this is AEOS a simple imitation of ios 7 but without the usage of winterboard! (it's still in BETA :P)

i will send the file when some one gives me a response

btw, is there a simple way to backup your iphone data into a ipsw? so another user could use this backup as a firmware?

You should never ever ever ever use the backup or running file system from one device on another, or even use it again on the same device after a restore.

There are so many bugs that will happen that you cannot fix.   Just don't do it.  If you know what files you modified, you could put them into a .deb layout and make a deb out of that and simply distribute that, or use sn0wbreeze to make a firmware for that.

You also never said what device this was or what firmware ;)

Yes, just make a .deb that has the layout of the icons.

How to make a basic .deb on your iPhone.

Then just install it and never remove it, otherwise things will break ;)
