Wow!  What an entrance to the forums ;D  welcome then! :)

Thank you for this tutorial, very very helpful, and I'm sure I will be linking people to it when they have issues like this :)

+1 internets to you for writing up this very clean tutorial :)

One thing I noticed, you suggest iReb v7, but that doesn't always work for everyone, so I will just leave this link here:
iReb v5
because it does work for our older devices every time (well, more than iReb v7 by far).

« Reply #2 on: July 25, 2013, 12:01:35 PM »
sorry for popping an entrance like this, i came out to this steps on my own..

buy my real problem is fixing my wifi on my iphone 3G, which is suddenly cannot see any wifi network, tried everything

1. reset router
2. buy new router
3. reinstall IPSW, Jailbreak, use 4.2.1 Iphone Custom IPSW
4. Install Whited00r 6

but still no luck, maybe this is now a hardware issue

Nonono!  That entrance was very good :)

Probably best to make a new topic about that.  I would split it off, but then it doesn't notify you that it has been split I think :(

You should post this in the hardware related forums though, as it does seem like a hardware issue :(

Thank you for editing your post by the way, instead of making multiple ones :)

Alright, so, to use whited00r, you probably need the unlocked version correct?  (If you are not factory unlocked or using the official carrier for the phone).

If so, you need to be on iOS 4, and have the baseband 06.15.00. Then use the redsn0w listed above and choose the "Downgrade from iPad baseband" option under "Extras".  After that finishes it should reboot your device and you will have the 05.13.04 baseband :) After that, just use the "PWNED DFU" option under "Extras" in redsn0w and you can then restore to whited00r after it finishes and says you are in PWNED DFU mode.

hi bcoo.. thanks for replying. anyway, yeah.. tried upgrade then downgrade.. all things going smoothly, until i got error:1600 when im on step# 16. Shift + Restore then select Whited00r 6
17. Wait for it to finish :( < what should i do then?

anyway, i'm tryin' to start again from the top.. or atleast, i could get back where my iphone is working fine, running 05.13.04 iphone 3g 4.2.1

i also tried following the steps here > http://www.whited00r.com/tutorial-downgrade3g

still gets an error 1600. and my phone went back to 'no sim card installed' and all i can see is emergency call.

What is your baseband when you are trying to downgrade?  Also, did you enter PWNED DFU mode with redsn0w 0.9.14b2 before trying to shift+restore?

yes bcoo, i did tried that PWNED DFU mode with redsn0w 0.9.14b2 before trying to shift+restore.. my baseband that time is > Your iPhone 3G will run iOS3.1.3 with 05.13.01. Following the steps on http://www.whited00r.com/tutorial-downgrade3g. then i try install whitedoor, and i got error 1600. after that i turn on my phone and the sim card not installed so with emergency call is back again..

right now, im trying to restart the steps again and im already finished on 8. your iphone now is fix from error 1015 + jailbreak
9. your baseband is back to 6.15.00

and this is what forecast is telling me right now.. can you help me for the next step?:( thank you!

: aw sorry bcoo.. i didnt use the redsnow 0.9.14b2 to pwned dfu, i used ireb.. and do the tutorial as how to install whitedoor.. i also tried steps with camary, opening tiny umbrella, still gets 1600.

bcoo.. i have a question, i can install whitedoor, with the baseband and ios that i've got now? or i need to restore on ios 3.1.3 first? tell me please.. im not doing anything for now.. i want to make sure, what to do next cause ive been spending many hours on this, but still cant install whitedoor :(

Ah yeah, the latest iTunes (anything above 11.05) breaks iReb.  That's why we suggest using Redsn0w now as it works every time pretty much, especially with the version I said to use :) This post has more info on that:
iTunes 16xx error even when using iReb - READ THIS

Also, you do need to have 05.13.04 or lower baseband to use whited00r unlocked, otherwise the unlock doesn't work. Anything above that is not unlockable via the whited00r unlocked firmware.  You also can only downgrade/upgrade basebands on iOS 4 via redsn0w ;)  So it's best to do that before you restore.

However, you seem to have got everything sorted out :) Very glad to hear that.  Enjoy whited00r! :)
