Any Stable Tweaks for Speeding Up iOS 4?
« on: August 01, 2013, 08:47:32 PM »
ok, so im now using ios 4 (for debug purposes and inspiration) is their any build (besides redd00r which is unstable and archetype that didn't work really well on ios 4) thats stable enough to use to speed up ios 4?

If theres no tweak or anything i guess i'll stick with what i got :/

No, nothing more stable and well put together for iOS 4.x than Archetype at the moment.  ;)

Well let's be honest, there is another project which is for iOS 4....Don't know if I can even mention the name because some moderators here are mean and delete posts when they mean no harm. It's called Bl4ck0ut, and there is a 7.0 beta release which is quite nice....

I didn't say there wasn't anything else, I said there wasn't anything more stable and well put together ;)
Current bl4ck0ut is way worse than archetype, almost to a redd00r level.  Next version still has the same shoddy backend code, but the front of it looks nicer, but it isn't public yet so that doesn't help him :(

I agree, it's very very buggy (6.2)
Bl4ck0ut 7 is public beta, so everyone can test it :) :b

Same shoddy backend code unless you actually re-read over everything I tried to teach you since December ;)  Last code you sent me for help with showed no signs of it though :(
I am here to teach, and revival would probably be more than happy to help teach too :)

I too was trying to speed up the dog-slow iOS 4.2.1 on my iPhone 3G and searching the web that's how I discovered Whited00r way back in November 2012.  ;)

Whited00r 6 is fast & even faster when disabling everything using > Terminal > type: setup (hit Enter) & it's very stable:)

Who needs iOS4+ on our old armv6 devices? What for?  :o

Hey, I noticed your Gumby & Pokey avatar & I'm a big fan.

So I just took this photo of my unstable Gumby using an iPhone 3G running the very stable Whited00r 6.

Notice the tear of joy in his eye.

...my dad used to watch that cartoon :D...

It's a bit off topic but since there are funny characters in this thread promoting competitors to Whited00r in the Whited00r forum...

It's not a "cartoon" really, it's claymation or clay animation, all done by hand shot by shot without a computer - hard to believe, I know. It's a form of stop motion animation.

This episode is best viewed with funny herbs & includes the dad of Gumby so mabe you could watch it with your dad? Gumby On The Moon

In this one, Pokey makes funny faces when he sees the monster & keeps on eating his ice cream cone while being pursued by it:
