Well hopefully a button to use the normal style will be added :S

-1 is a little more stable it seems but I was still able to make a folder disappear once today.

I wasn't having a permission error.  I had no POSIX Socket connection so I guess I couldn't ping the server, must've been dead?

Wait a few hours and try again.  The repo might be down right now.

Clock Speed
It would be nice to have an option to adjust the clock speed of the processor on the iPhone 2g or to "lessen" the underclock on the processor, maybe to 450, 500, 550, or even the full 600MHz. I know that this might not make as big of a difference in speed as having more RAM, but I've heard that some games  just require a higher clock speed to perform better. Blackdoor has some addon like this to increase the clock speed from 412 to 550. I understand that nobody would really want to mess with the clock speed of a cellphone as it would cause overheating and excessive drain of the battery.  One of Apple's software updates slightly increased the clock speed a while back, or so I heard.  I've also read that there is a power management file, “com.apple.SystemPowerProfileDefault.plist”, that can be modified so that the device will not regonize it.
This is probably kind of stupid, considering that I'm saying this stuff and I'm not even a teenager as yet.

Blackd00r has no working overclock, trust me that firmware is much slower than Whited00r -__-  Messing with power management will not overclock your processor, it just wastes all your battery like an idiot.

Bug?
====
I'm loving 1.0.4-2 on a 2G. :D

I have something that may be folders related, or just strange.

I have 15 icons on page 1 - to avoid the 16th icon problem (which I've not seen, actually).

I also have 3 folders on page 1 in positions 10 (9 icons),11 (7) and 12 (3).
Then [email protected], [email protected]

The 15th was the 'Notified' app. But it keeps moving to page 2 after a while. I can never tell when/what causes it.

No idea if this is due to Notified or Folders, but I eventually put Notified into the [email protected] with AppStore & iTunes and so far it's stayed there.

I'll now put something else @15 and see if it wanders too.

OK, it's a folders bug. I put something else on page 1 @15 and it moved too.

Actually I had uninstalled a few things before I noticed it had gone, so could that have been the/a cause?

It actually went invisible, although Spotlight allowed me to search for it and run it, but when I exited, it was still invisible.

A quick respring and it appeared again: but had moved to page 2.

Just downgrade to 1.0.4-1 and the folder bugs are gone

I myself installed it again because I had previously removed it manually. :)

Now I'm running:

Backgrounder
Multifl0w
Winterboard

Believe it or not, but this is still really fast! I play Angry Birds with practically no lag, and opening and closing transitions are still fast.  I used pincrush on all my PNG's and that helped.

Well, now that i'm using 1.0.4-1 I'm having no problems or crashes at all.  On 1.0.4-2 I noticed many disappearing folders, and sometimes springboard would crash to safemode when making a new folder.
