It'll be in my repo, and hopefully ModMyi's repo as well.

Whited00r Development - New Apps & Features / iOS 5.0.1 Blank Icon Fix
« on: March 22, 2012, 12:11:08 AM »
I think I found a REAL fix for the Blank Icon issue!! Hopefully it actually fixes it... I will need some testers!

Yay! I feel somewhat smart and useful! =D

I will be generating the .deb in a few minutes. But I need testers lined up now.

iOS 5.0.1 Jailbroken iDevices (Or a device that has the blank icon issue).

Willingness to help.

Deleting Retina images is not a feature of iSpeedUp (Yet).

But no, it will not force you to restore. The only times in which it will force you to restore, is if you delete the retina images from iPhone 4 and 4S's.

can i use this on an iphone 3gs on ios 5.0.1?

You can use this on ANY iDevice on ANY firmware.

No, he's right. I already planned on adding these features anyway. But in time to come. At the moment, I have no time for coding.

It works for the AppStore yes, but it's not worth it. I've tried it before and EVERY app you install, will immediately crash when you launch it. It's a waste of time and dumb.

Yea, screenshot would be nice.

Thanks to Brian, and brc 0703 I have finally released iCustomize 3.0!

This new version works with All iDevices, and all firmwares!

To install, just add the repo ""!

Hope you enjoy!!!!

Installation Instructions:

Whether you are doing this through Cydia, or manually, you will need to install the applications in THIS order...

1. Sudo

2. Ch40s Launcher (Utilities)

3. iCustomize

If you are using Cydia, it SHOULD install in this order. But might not. So just to be on the safe side, install sudo, then ch40s and then iCustomize.

If your doing it manually, do it in this order.

BUT... if you've ever had a sudo package installed (or even this one installed) since your last restore, you will need to remove EVERY file associated with it. Just use iFile and search (hierarchy) for "sudo" and EVERY single file that comes up, delete it (as long as it's related to sudo, and you'll know.). Ever file related to sudo should have the word "sudo" in it somewhere. Once ALL files are deleted, then install sudo.

Next, if you've tried to install Ch40s Launcher (Utilities) and or iCustomize before, go to /Library and delete both the Ch40s-Utilities and iCustomize folders.

Then install Ch40s deb file, and iCustomize.deb file.

It SHOULD now work. It has many dependencys (for files that are in Cydia and free), so you will have to download and install every one of them manually.

These are the requirements for iCustomize:

com.bcooperizcool.sudo, adv-cmds, bash, basic-cmds, coreutils, coreutils-bin, diffutils, file-cmds, findutils, lzma, ncurses, grep, readline, sed, system-cmds, com.bcooperizcool.launcher

For visual illustration on what this is, here you go!:

That will let iOS 3 read it properly?

nice work :D
you should really make it work on ios3 :(...

I've been trying. But iOS 3 does not properly read the strings file. Even if you change it to a plist file (Which you have to do, on your computer) it still won't properly read it.So...

Yes, WDSpeedUp will work. But not it is actually called "iSpeedUp". You'll find it in the whited00r repo, or one of mine.
