Downloading magazine apps would make this pretty pointless think of it as a bookmark folder

He means that where it says I have to enter a RSS Url, If it is possible to enter a path to your root, so you can put PDF or ePub or etc. in there to read. Would be pretty cool!

UPDATE: I installed the deb but it crashes instantly on the forbidden "4.2.1 firmware who must not be named" What are the dependencies and what permissions?

Turn device off, and back on 2 Times after the install. Works perfect for me

There are alternatives in the App Store, and you can use: maps.google.com, then add to home screen.

If you just want to have something on your springboard, you can use this:

I made it with the help of CPVideoMaker's HTML code. Go to the site with Safari, then add it to your springboard with the share icon on the bottom. It opens up and shows a static image of Passbook and that's pretty much it. Creating a real passbook would require a tremendous amount of work, if you actually wanted it to work, I think it would be something like Spire, where you'd need a newer model iPhone for it to work (send query to newer iPhone for data, newer iPhone asks Passbook, then sends data back to old iPhone; all over internet). It seems kind of inefficient, although, I may be wrong.

Cool, nice job Niels97oet The only thing I noticed is that your passbook app seems to be in retina. I haven't tested your site yet, but there might be problems. Of course, I could be wrong...

Yeah, my Passbook is wrong sized image, will get a new one soon, maybe... or resize, or whatever

Actually No. Why? Take a look at the Costum-IPSW Restore Tool From Redsn0w. We can implement that.

I was looking into all that, but the iPhone Dev Team doesn't give out source code!:/

That's exactly WHY you will NEED iTunes to restore. There's no source code for an app to restore device without iTunes.

You can try contact Redsn0w Dev though. But what you want to make is kinda like a luxury, not needing to use iTunes

You will need the Home button
