Amateur Developers / Whited00r Classic [News][download December 20th]
« on: November 24, 2019, 04:50:44 AM »
Skeuomorphism Lives.

Whited00r Classic brings the classic iOS 4-6 feel to your Vintage iDevice. Utilizing the best tweaks from previous Whited00r releases and everything we learned along the way, we are releasing the best refined version of Whited00r in the Skeuomorphic UI.

This is the best of every version of pre-whited00r 7 axing out the worst, and incorporating what we learned about making iOS 3.1.3 run as fast and smooth as possible and removing the bad. We even redid somethings that needed a little tender love and care.

Release Notes:
-WDReminders rebuilt in iOS 6 UI from ground up, axing bugs and bloat.
-iOS 5 Siri UI used and backend is new method used from WDSiri to handle all requests on device without internet connection
-WDNewsstand now built into a folder like iOS 5
-Classic wallpapers from iOS 1-6 included
-Folders, and classic multitaskting with audio controls and respring
-App icons are user favorites from iOS 4-6 era
-Daemons removed or tweaked for speed
-Notification center
-youtube app fixed with tubefixer
-camera access from lockscreen
-ipod split music and videos apps

Amateur Developers / Whited00r 13 (IPSW) [ALPHA]
« on: November 23, 2019, 07:55:19 PM »
Theres a lot of hype so we are speeding up and getting files out for testing!

Here is the first Alpha. Same routine as usual - you install at your own risk, and you'll need redsn0w for a pwned DFU mode. Otherwise enjoy. This version is missing 8 or so features from final release.

Headsup, these arent the hacktivated versions, so you will need a sim card!

Amateur Developers / Whited00r 13 Theme
« on: November 23, 2019, 05:51:49 PM »
In order to get things moving for those who want to play around and get back into Whited00r, I am releasing the updated theme for Whited00r. This is a very early build and updates will come. Eventually this will be built in to the IPSW releasing in March 2020 with all the other updates that are currently being developed.

To Install:first install/restore Whited00r 7 on your device, then use a program such as ifunbox/iexplorer to copy over the files in the zip. You cannot copy the folders, you must copy the files within the folders. This style of release is temporary, future full releases will be in an .ipsw.

Enjoy. Please understand this is still a work in progress.

In development, stay tuned.

I am Soltmeal. I helped develop the reminders app in whited00r many of you have on your phone as well as some other apps just to try to get acquainted with Objective C my freshman year of high school.

It is 5 years after I have delivered the app to Whited00r. I am currently a freshman in college pursuing a Computer Science degree. I have learned many languages and have learned a lot about modern day Objective C and Swift code I had no knowledge of when creating the reminders app for whited00r, I am sure if I had the knowledge I have now, I could have given you guys some well developed tweaks back then.

The developers of whited00r during that time period were younger like myself. Our levels of experience did differ, but we thank you for running software on your phone (mainly) developed by high schoolers. The developers of that time period did have a very close knit circle in which we would discuss whited00r and the future of that project over Skype and a nice game of minecraft. We all tried to hype up the project and gather more people to the projects attention through our Youtube Keynote announcements.

While some changes took place and a new mod was put in to power that ultimately made a lot of changes without consulting us and caused a decline in the developers wanting to actively participate in the forum coupled with XCode no longer supporting armv6 and iOS3 we apologize for the decline in what we have been developing for our great base of supporters.

Its has been awhile since many of our original set of developers have been active I know some have left in anger and may never return, but I do know I owe some things back to the community who helped my love for coding flourish. I PROMISE to deliver a polished version of Reminders for Whited00r, Redd00r and Grayd00r as soon as I can. I have picked up a iBook G4 for free and since the software is a tad older I can download XCode that can support older devices. I will post anything related to all three of those Reminders Apps here on this forum.

I know all of my threads have gotten archived on this forums. You can feel free to try to browse those and try to find my older apps, but all those links are broken from developers leaving and shutting down their projects. I also PROMISE I will upload any old reminders, newsstand and message app ipa and .apps files I can to here as soon as I get home. I want to leave you with all the resources I can provide to make this community happy.

To all aspiring developers don't be afraid to learn, your app will be wonky or misuse memory and print ?#![][][] at times but in the end what you change and problems you solve will be all that better.

Thanks for supporting me and helping me learn, I wish this project the best of luck in moving forward.

Mattwre, Phil, Finkmac, Applepie, Bludooor, iShubham thanks for being a good team to work with!

I have one request for the community. If you have the base Redd00r firmware released years ago, in which the link broke and could upload it I will give you an iPhone 2G for your trouble. It has to be the original unmodified ispw I uploaded a while ago. You can email the file link to me at: [email protected] Thank you!

if you wish to keep up with me you can subscribe or find me on youtube here:

You can download all apps here: (don't mind the adlfy just click skip ad once done)

I am stumped on who developed his tweak and when this came about. I am looking for more information on how to access the stand a lone tweak and when abouts it was created.

Amateur Developers / WD11 - Soltmeal's iOS 11 & 8 Control Center Themes

1.Unzip Folder
Replace folder in phones root with this one and respring device

iOS 11 Theme:

This theme is currently being worked on, but with the excitement of iOS 11, I thought I would release an early version. If i ever gain access to source code of control center I will try to play with the tweak, but for now a theme is as good as it will get.

iOS 8 Theme:
Look and feel of iOS 8 Control Center, download below (one with more downloads)

No changelog since it is a full port of WDReminders from previous Whited00r firmware with the iOS 7 GUI and simplified like it is in iOS 7. Since this is a port and no new features have been added it is very very buggy. A fully working version expected before school starts again, YAY!

I will put a download out when i can get some more things working as now the 'checkmarks' don't always count right (look at the pic) haha and the 4 in the center don't dissapear when there is no text in the UITextbox (also see picture) also need the app icon.

So right now if youdownload it you will loose functionality over looks:/

I am rewriting the springboard for iOS. Everything else will keep its function and work like its supposed to but the springboard will bring Widgets and a new way to view iOS. This could be described as a theme on steriods. works iOS 5 and up. Will make a preview available but it is VERY VERY CHOPPY in animations.

iBooks PDF viewer for iOS 3 [searching for URL]

Siri GUI for iOS3 and up with sara app (pulling from WD6)

If your iPhone's Home button and/or lock (Power) button are broken and you are trying to enter DFU mode or Recovery Mode I suggest downloading TinyUmbrella and using that to enter DFU or Recovery Mode by simply clicking your mouse.

PierreP note: Try also creating a custom IPSW for entering DFU mode using redsn0w as described in Reply #6 below.

PierreP Moderator note: Edited thread title to add relevant keywords as described in Whited00r 6: Tips to Quickly Solve your Problems/Bugs & Get Answers FAST!, fixed a few typos & added link to alternative solution.
