Hardware Problems - iPhone 2G, iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 1G & iPod Touch 2G / [FIX]iPhone reboots automatically after shutdown + no sound but ringtone

The title say it all.
You are reading this because you have an iPhone (4S most of the time for that bug) that reboots automatically after about 2 sec when you turn it off.
Or maybe because you don't have any sound and the volume bar disappeared?
Or maybe even both? (doesn't apply specifically for the always headphones problem, as this problem is in the headphones jack)
This is a common problem and involve the dock of the phone (the hole where you plug in the charger), it happens when you use your phone outside in a rainy day or when humidity/moisture take over your phone.
Well, I just bought an iPhone 4S with that issue, and I think I found how to fix it (it worked for me..)
Edit by bcooperizcool to note that you need 100% alcohol, otherwise you can make the problem worse by short circuiting because of electrical connection
1:while the iPhone is on(because it probably reboots automatically anyway) use a toothbrush with a bit of alcohol on it and brush the dock (bottom charging hole) with good strength for about a minute.
2:After brushing it with alcohol, blow on it for about 15 seconds (if you have iOS 7 with control center open, the volume bar might come and disappear right away)
3:after blowing on it, it won't work. Take some rice, and put it in the jack (yes, in the dock connector hole) like I am showing you on the picture with my own iPhone 4S iOS 7.
Play with it or let it sit for about an hour, then check if the volume is working, if so, shutdown your phone and see if it reboots still.
For me, this fixed the problem and my iPhone is now working properly, it will stay off and the volume will works too
Hope this helps, if it does not works, comment and I will give further assistance.
If it works, comment too
EDIT:
If the above don't work, here are some tips found on the internet(will keep editing)
-Try using the edge of a credit card to 'clean' the bottom socket (not really cleaning but more like gently moving the edge of the card back and forth while pressing in).
-Use a can of compressed air to blow in the dock and in the earphones jack
-Squeeze the bottom right of the iPhone with a good strength for about 20 seconds
-Restore your phone with DFU mode and configure as a new device (make a backup before just in case)
-Do a hard reset by holding both home and power button at the same time for 10 seconds, it won't affect any data on the device
This is a slightly dangerous trick but it works everytime if followed properly.
Take a small knife and insert the key in the dock, on the top of the pin, at the left, do some small rotation and do it for every pins from left to the right, and look at wich pin the volume come back, so you can do it again if it breaks another time.
If nothing worked, it's time to replace the dock, you can buy one for about 12$ on ebay and fix it yourself, or try to find a shop that will do it for you.
