What is this?

To explain this simple: It is a basic GUI for the launchctl service of your iDevice. Using this service you can enable/disable LaunchDaemons on runtime, neither with deleting the actual Daemon nor with the need of a reboot. Just select the Daemons you want to enable/disable and let the program run.

Why did make this?
I made this because many people do not know that launchctl exists or screw their device by deleting the wrong Daemons. The worst part about deleting the wrong Daemons is, of course, that you cannot re-enable Daemons that are deleted, unless you made a Backup. Unfortunately, many people forget this, so I decided to make their lives easier.

What is DaemonControl able to do?

-Disable running Daemons
-Enable disabled Daemons
-Creating Backups in case you disable "wrong" Daemons, unknowing which one to enable
-Restore from the Backups

What is planned for the future?
-A Database containing information about every Daemon
-Marking Daemons as safe, optional, system relevant

Here some screenshots:

Where am I able to download it?

Add my Repo in Cydia:
A link for offline installation is soon to come

I would be glad to hear your questions and suggestions!

Artd00r / I need Icons!
« on: December 11, 2011, 12:05:17 PM »
Okay, Here is what you need to know.

1.Icon: I am currently making a new app. It's name is supposed to be AppHide and it is supposed to hide/unhide Apps on your SpringBoard without slowdown(like using libhide).

2. Icon: I've made my own repo now(no myrepospace) and this repo needs a Icon and a banner.
Here my idea. The icon should contain a frying pane or a cooking pot(you know homebrew stuff) and the banner should say 'realblack7's Repo - Source of Homebrew'( or something kind of like that^^)

But i don't have enough time for the icons( i am glad that i have my 5 minutes for coding), also my photoshop is broken, so i need someone else to do the icons

You will be credited in my app if your icon is chosen. Post all you have here.
And of course: Thanks in Advance

How To's - Archive / Making of your own Custom Firmware
« on: August 22, 2011, 12:51:12 PM »
ok. this is the start of my custom firmware tutorial. I won't go in depth for now but will add stuff as soon as i can.

Windows user's only:
1. Windows user should download and install virtualbox
2. Download/Buy/Borrow a copy of Mac OS and install on your virtual machine. There are a couple tutorials for this. Unfortuanetly I can't find the one I used. When I find it i will post the link
3. Boot up your Virtual Machine

4. Download the firmware you want to mod
5. Make a base custom firmware with pwnagetool or sn0wbreeze ( copy the ipsw from your host pc to your virtual machine)
6. Rename the ipsw to zip
7. Extract it
8. Look for the biggest .dmg file in there, that is your filesystem
9. People who used sn0wbreeze may or not may correct the permissions of the "firmware" folder( from " own" to read write)
10. open Terminal
11. cd to the location of your dmg, foor example Desktop ( cd Desktop)
12. make your dmg writable by typing
      hdiutil convert -format UDRW somenumbers.dmg  -o udrw.dmg
13. Mount the dmg ( double click it)
14. Browse through the "drive" and make the changes you want, examples
     -delete Launchdaemons from system/library/launchdaemons
-Put your contatcs etc. into the right folders in var/mobile/library (more info coming)
     -Put deb files into var/root/Media/Cydia/AutoInstall
-replace the 100.png file in var/stash/Wallpaper/your device/ with the wallpaper you want on startup
-Place .plist from var/mobile/Library/Preferences in the right folder
15. if everything is done open terminl again and type in
     - hdiutil convert -format udrw.dmg -o udzo.dmg
15.1 Check if the file is okay by typing
       asr -imagescan udzo.dmg
16. Put udzo.dmg into the folder you extracted and rename it back to the original name
17. Mark the files in the folders and zip them(IMPORTANT: Don't zip the folder, only the files in the folder)
18. Rename the zip to ipsw
19. Put your device into pwned dfu and restore like you always did.
20. After bootup make 1-2 restarts, maybe 3.

21. Be happy:-)

Again, i will add more stuff later and make it more clear, add pictures etc.
And i am not responsible for any damage you do to your device by deleting important files etc. only edit the things you know!

Suggestions for the Next Whited00r Version / LaunchDaemons
« on: July 25, 2011, 05:31:53 PM »
I just found the insanelyi repo the Daemon tool. it enables/disables a good amount of launchdaemons.
The best thing about this app is that you can also add daemons which ar enot in the list and it will disable them also.
My suggestion is that we put something like this in to the configurator script/UI(whatever is in the next Firmware)
so everyone can choose which he wants to disable...I thought about switches.

And for people with less knowledge we could highlight or color recommended, optional Launchdaemons(and better leave out the nogo daemons^^)
What do you think?

Hey guys,
I don't know if you heard it, but team fortress 2 is from now on a free2play-titel.
With the new Über-Update and the release of " Meet the Medic" VALVe new weapons to the game and made it a f2p.

I just want you to know:-P

Hey guys, I think it is time to introduce myself^^

Okay, I'm a 19 years old guy from Germany. I play Handball and am the singer in a band.
I just did my Abitur/A-level and now have enough time for a lot of stuff, like whited00r.
I know this site since October, but until now did felt the need to register.

I like to draw, play games on the PC(especially VALVe games), listen to metal,do sports and solve problems(math etc., I know it is pretty sick^^)
The next days I want to set up the homepage for my band I coded so far, make some stuff like art for t-shirts etc. and become famous:D and OC my PC.

Yeah I think that it so far^^
