sweet. I'll give that tutorial a try. I know a little command line stuff, but i'm still quite a noob with terminal. I quick tutorial would be great if u had time. I'm stoked for the official GUI your gonna release though.

*update* I tried the tutorial, and didnt quite get it. So a plain english tutorial from you would be great!

How To's - Archive / Custom Bootlogo

So i was looking through the WD 5.1 changelog and it said that logomii was supported. I downloaded logomii but i am unsure of how to use it. i found this tutorial http://www.whited00r.com/forum/index.php?topic=1155.0 but saw that it was from early 2011. Will this still work no on WD 5.1? If not can someone help me to know how to use a custom bootlogo? an animated one would be great, but if its just a normal stationary one that is cool too.

How To's - Archive / Unable to locate some image files
« on: April 26, 2012, 06:13:25 AM »
So i am messing around with icons and backgrounds and stuff like that. I am having some difficulty finding all of the apps that i would like to change the icon for. I can find some in system/applications, this holds most of the system and jailbreak apps. However it does not have camera. I know my other apps are located in var/mobile/applications, do i have to look through all of those to find it?

I need help finding the icon.png for the camera app.

Second i would like to change the background in messages. I found what i thought was the background image, yet when i changed it, it did little more than just flash that image while loading and then return to normal. I looked under system/applications/mobilesms

thankyou, helpful guide.

So i searched around and found that obliterator locks or wipes your device if stolen? I know i can turn obliterator on from terminal, but once i turn it on how do i use it? And i can remotely wipe all the information off?

This may have been answered earlier in this post, but i dont have time to read through it as i am very pressed. I'm just wondering, What exactly do the removedaemons, and removeretina scripts that are in /var/mobile of whited00r 5.1 by default exactly do?

I just want to make sure they wont remove any daemons i currently use, and that the retina script wont remove anything like album artwork or anything like that. The remove languages one worked great.

Thanks so much. both posts had very useful information. Its working!

I want to delete language packs. Ive searched this site and many sites. They all say download a file, place it in /var/mobile, then go to mobile terminal, type su, then type "alpine" as the password, then change permissions to 0775...

Changing permissions is where i get stuck. I have no idea how to change permissions. I need someone to tell me the entire process, with steps telling me exactly what to do. I am on a mac and this is for my iphone 3g on 3.1.3 whited00r version 5.1. i'm just ignorant. I have been using cyberduck and iphone explorer to try and change permissions.

Help would be appreciated as i am a super noob to unix and putting code into terminal/mobile terminal.

Thanks
