I would not purchase an old Apple device that is not supported or loosing support. I suggest keeping your android. You will find your self very frustrated with the limited capabilities of an iPhone 3G

Hmm, well there is nothing we can do from our end, short of coding a new app. However, I don't think that will happen any time soon....

You could just jailbreak and installe AppSync for 3.1.x and find .ipa files

That's because Redsn0w was never updated for 3.1.3, you have to put 3.1.2 in it

If you updated it and instead of it updating you were sent to recovery mode, something must have gone wrong. Did an error pop up?
