Amateur Developers / Re: iOS 7 for 3GS (Work In Progress)
« on: April 16, 2014, 10:35:08 AM »

hey whited00r,i try to make a firmware for iphone 3gs and this is what i made
camera is finished
messages app is finished
lockscreen is finished
the notification center is done
need help in changing settings small icons(i can't extract iconcache.artwork with python 2.7)
no download links
tweaks used in lockscreen lockbarpro,unlock7 and ayra
some things are used from pw5a29's theme
this is the error i get when trying to extract that artwork
The lock screen looks even better than the one in iOS 7! :D congrats, beautiful work :)

You need someone to work with you... ;D
Auto-volunteering? :D ;)

The 5S wouldn't be compatible with Archetype at all :(  I need to update the listing. It says every iOS but it isn't anymore as iOS 7 was released :P  Right now Archetype is pretty nice and stable thankfully :) (on what it runs on).

I should do more work on it though, but I don't have much free time anymore :(
It's ok :( you already worked hard for us and you do every possible efforts :) I promise if I manage to get money I'll donate for you a bit because you really deserve for your work :( without you, our old devices would just be that, OLD. THANK YOU SO MUCH :)

Sorry to hear that :( if you posted earlier on I probably tried to help solve it though :)  Anyway, if you can, you probably should be using whited00r 7 anyway, much much better than this :)
Well, I'm using it at my iPhone 3G but now I got the iPhone 5S and plenty other compatible devices, but Brian it's completely understandable because when I tried it it was really at the beginning so ;) nothing is perfect ;(

It takes a very very long time to install. ;)

There is no guide really, and no, you can't choose the languages to delete yet :(

Also, one thing, if no one has posted after you, you can edit your last post using the Modify button rather than making multiple ones to keep the forums clean :)
You're an amazing developer, forgive me but, I've had a very bad experience with Archetype before.

Tech Talks / Re: iPhone 4 iOS 7 - Blur effects
« on: December 04, 2013, 07:57:02 AM »

Even if it's jailbreakable, substrates are broken on ios 7 :p

People need to cycript the code (a tool by Jay Freeman @saurik)
Thanks for the reply ! :D
Oh :( there's a way of it for sure ... But I saw people around saying that blur effects probably are not activated  by string edits ... They say than most probably we have to get the blur layers from Idevices who support them. What means we have to have a jailbroken iPhone 4S+ :(

Tech Talks / iPhone 4 iOS 7 - Blur effects

Hello guys ;)

Well, I know this is nothing to do with thing that people usually post on this forum, in fact, I think the forum is not for this type of questions but, I think you guys are the perfect people to answer this question.
My question that you might know already know, is, how do I get the blurred effects on the iPhone 4 ? Can I get them by doing a backup on ITunes and ten via iBackupBot or such, edit a string of the backup to get this effects ? Because I would like to experience them in my older iPhone, they look so good in the iPhone 5S :(
I appreciate your answers :)
Also, it doesn't bother me if it will be slow, I have that in mind, but I think it will not get that slow ... Or maybe they will.

Tech Talks / Re: EARPODS
« on: December 03, 2013, 12:58:45 PM »

Oh I wasn't referring to the mic on the remote, but actually the volume buttons on it.
I read that the volume buttons on the headphones that came with the iPhone 4 and the 4S ( do not work on the 3g and 2g, but I might be wrong. Also, the answerer on this apple store question (answerer number four) says so as well.
So if the volume buttons do not work, then the earpods are technically unsupported even though the actual buds or speaker do in fact work.
I still might be wrong though.
EarPods do work with the iPhone 3G, I tried it today :)

Nothing we can do sadly :( Closed source, they can't update the app anyway (and wouldn't even if they could because it takes really way too much effort to support old devices and new ones. Why force yourself to stay outdated with security holes, right? ;) ).

As for making another app for it, no. That would take time and effort we simply don't have :(
just buy a newer iPhone
