How to identify your iPod Touch 2G model: Settings > General > About > Model. When Apple engraves or "personalized" a device, the first letter M is replaced by a P.
Whited00r 6 currently supports only the iPod Touch 2G MB model or PB model.
We are working on a firmware for those iPod Touch 2G MC model or PC model when there are engraved but it is not ready for release yet & please do not ask when as we will gladly announce it when it is ready. Meanwhile read this thread: [Solved] No Whited00r for iPod Touch 2G MC or PC Model?

opend00r is a tool written in python that downloads the latest version of the whited00r firmware.
Currently, the app is only supported by Mac and Linux natively, for Windows users, please install cygwin to use opend00r.
The code is really messy, but It works, so give it a shot.

I've started uploading old Whited00r firmwares to the Internet Archive, I will put links to them all here as I do!
But, I need any old versions you guys can find! They are really hard to find with all the takedowns on Megaupload etc.
NOTE: These old versions may be unstable/make your phone explode. Do not use for any purpose other than looking through the history of Whited00r.

I wrote a webapp based off Bittorrent's btapp.js that streams audio from a .torrent file, like this:
It requires a plugin called Torque, which is available for Windows and Mac (Linux support is coming soon, im told)
There is a few of our favourite torrents there, but you can add your own by pasting it into the box on the front page.

I see a lot of great apps on this forum, but the main problem is that they use things like 4shared, 000webhost and other cheapo hosting services. These are, from experience, terrible and prone to a lot of downtime.
For that reason, I'm setting up a server dedicated to developers hosting their apps, on my infrastructure.
If you need to host your website, a Cydia Repo, or just a beta key that voids every weekend, then this is a perfect solution.
The Features include:
To apply for hosting, please PM or email me with how you are going to use it. A basic knowledge of FTP is required, for more advanced features, knowledge of SSH is required.
FAQ
What do I need to apply?
Just show me your apps. Give me a brief outline of what you contribute to the iOS community and If I approve, then you are good to go and I will set up your hosting.
Can I access the shell?
Yes, If you would like shell access, just log into the server with an SSH client using your username and password.
How fast is the uplink on the server?
12MBps theoretically, but realistically usually around 2-3 MBps.
Can I use my own domain?
Of course, contact me with the domain and I will link it up server-side. Just add the IP of the server to your sites DNS entry to complete access.
I want hosting, but I want it for my Hobby/Fan Club Site

PacAPT is a (sort of) port of Pacman for systems running Debian APT. Examples:
The program was originally written by Icy but I have forked the program and plan to streamline it for iOS.

Whited00r offers 2 ways of downloading the firmware, via a direct download from Sourceforge, or via a .torrent file. If you don't know how to use Bittorrent, follow this guide to get started.
1. Get the Software
There are many different Bittorrent clients out there, but here are my faves:
Download Transmission for Mac
Download uTorrent for Windows.
Download Transmission for Linux
2. Install It
Just double-click Transmission.dmg (or utorrent.exe) and follow the on-screen instructions to install.
3. Download the torrent

If you leave your torrents running for about a week you will have contributed back to the network as much as you can!
