can't downgrade to 3.1.2
« on: March 18, 2011, 07:06:06 PM »
So basically I have a problem with downgrading to 3.2.1 on my ipod touch 2g.
its a MB model before you ask.
if i try it with 3.1.3 it says your device isn't eligible for this firmware
and if i try it with 3.1.2 it just freezes at checking the firmware with apple. so what do i have to do ?

Are you using the method of holding SHIFT down and hitting restore via iTunes?

Only advice I would have for you, is to make SURE you are getting the 3.2.1 firmware for your specific device.

(Couldn't find "iPod Touch 2G 3.2.1, I think that's iPad firmware)

Check to see if the Fw you downloaded is compatible, meaning you didn't download the wrong one by mistake

Sounds like you have a MC model because that message means you need saved SHSH blobs. Sorry.
