Newsstand for iOS 4 (Updated link + I'm still alive!)
« on: November 25, 2011, 02:52:07 AM »
05/07/2012 - New link if you can't download the attachment below: Just click here.

05/03/2012 - (Update 2) I've remade the tutorial and also included another background image, which I have not had the chance to try out. Try it out and tell us if it works. ALWAYS REMEMBER TO BACK-UP YOUR ORIGINALS!!  ;D

05/03/2012 - Sorry for not being on for a while as my cousin bricked my iPhone. Decided to check how the community was doing and noticed that there was a problem with the download, so I fixed it. I'll see what else I can do with the theme but I don't have a working iPhone at the moment.

Okay, not many of you might know yet, but me and Coolbreeze have decided to work on the "Newsstand" theme together. So in the light of that, I've decided to start a new thread where we will be posting development updates, downloads, and providing support if needed. This post will be updated if any new updates on development or new downloads are available, unlike how I did with the old thread (It was a mess  :P).

11/24/2011 - Updated the Pre-beta to v2. Change-log:
-Front of shelves were different sizes, corrected that, and centered it with text.
                         -Re-aligned shelves with apps.
-Fixed an issue where icons would scroll a little over Newsstand "Navbar" when using Infinfolders, or
                          Scrollingboard.
                         -More shadows added.
-Added credits easter egg under bottom shelf, visible if folder contain more than 8 apps.

To download, click on "Newsstand for iOS4 Pre-beta 2.zip", extract and follow the included instructions. It is
recommended to have Infiniboard (or Scrollingboard, which ever you prefer) installed, and set folder icons
to paging for a more authentic experience. ALSO REMEMBER TO BACK UP ANY FILES YOU REPLACE!

-Don't forget to thank timbiscuits for the tip about removing the cache files!

I'm working on the retina one now, because on 4.3.3 the shelf is too small :P

@Coolbreeze I recomended using infiniboard or scrollingboard (doesn't really matter which one cause they both do the same thing) cause it adds scrolling to newsstand or anyother folders you have.

@Coolbreeze yeah, I know, but I only have a 3G batPhone, so I don't have retina screen to test with.

So, I guess you don't want iOS 5. You dont want notification center. You don't want to future proof your iPod.
