Send in your crash reports
« on: January 27, 2011, 09:39:33 AM »
To help me debug Folders, anyone who's getting crashes could install 'syslog' from Cydia, and send me var/log/syslog after a crash.

syslog2 is correct. Dependency problems or something? I'm not sure about that error.

To help me debug Folders, anyone who's getting crashes could install 'syslog' from Cydia, and send me var/log/syslog after a crash.

just this:
I usually make a soft use of folders, but with whited00r 4.1 (with last folder .deb) I have never had a CRASH.

Currently I have 6 folders on my springboard with about 3-7 apps inside
No problems in renaming

Just a bit difficult to put icons inside (sometimes it refuses) and sometimes icons are out after a respring (but I never checked if there are particular conditions that causes that).

I'll start to make an harder use of them to report problems, but I repeat: NO CRASHES on whited00r 4.1 (nothing installed via Cydia, fresh install) making a soft use of folders.

Same here. no crashes at all!

I found a few bugs in folders which have been there from your first release:
1)When a folder is open and you receive a text, if u click reply it will send you straight to safe mode. --Crashes.
2)When a folder is open and you receive a call and answer it.. you go to safe mode.
Please try to fix these bugs. Thank You darlo!!

Only bugs i have had, are that cydia in a folder for some reason doesnt see any packages, nor sources. respring, restart, hard restart.. not working.
after restore, next time i moved cydia to a folder, everything worked fine.

next thing, missing folder. simply vanished. Fixed this by uninstalling folders via ssh dpkg -P, since cydia was inside the folder.

no crashes for me.

after i had uninstalled folders, i installed categoriessb, but hay, since you need logs, i'll be happy to put folders back, and use them instead :)

Other than previous problems, no bugs for now. only opening lag, but not bad.

is there any hope of having more than 12 icons per folder?
firstly, is that possible to code, since i get the limitations of spb are heavy, and im not familiar with the program architecture itself)
if so, would that ruin this small opening lag?
also, could we see in folder icons moving soon? (same questions)

no crash till now.

Well, now that i'm using 1.0.4-1 I'm having no problems or crashes at all.  On 1.0.4-2 I noticed many disappearing folders, and sometimes springboard would crash to safemode when making a new folder.
