[Solved] Viber Notifications & Calls fix Whited00r 6 - iOS 3.1.3

<< < (2/3) > >>

Bruan:
So the screen was awake when you didn't receive notifications?  On 3.1.3, the wifi shuts off automatically on screen lock (manually and automatically) and resumes when you wake up the screen.   So, you wouldn't get notifications if the screen was off.

iPhonerks:
Thanks a lot for your replay

Example
I'm using safari and i'm searching something on google, my friend try to phone me in viber but i can't hear this call because viber isn't open. After that i open the viber and i see notification.

PierreP:
Thank you mahmoud for your thread and taking the time to make & post those screen captures.  8) So +1 Internets for giving back to the community. You are right, one must first make sure that his Push Notifications are enabled.

I have two iPhone 3G with each it's own prepaid SIM that I use for testing stuff for Whited00r: one is Factory Unlocked and currently running stock iOS 3.1.3 which was activated and received it's Push Certificates from iTunes and the other is running Whited00r 6 Unlock version as it is carrier locked. Because it cannot be activated with iTunes, I enabled the Push Certificates following this tutorial: [Solved] whited00r 6 Unlocked Push Notifications Quick Fix

I installed Viber v2.2.0.2962 from App Time Machine and activated a Viber account on both of them.

After I made sure that > Settings > Notifications > Viber > Sounds, Alerts & Badges were enabled and that both were connected to WiFi: both were receiving Notifications, text messages & calls even if Viber was closed.

Same positive result when on 3G data instead of WiFi.  :)

On the second screen capture below, I was notified on a Viber incoming call even if I was surfing the Whited00r forum in Safari and Viber was closed:

I have iPhone 3g and have installed whited00r 6.
Now my iPhone have this settings:
Version 3.1.3 (7E18), Firmware 05.15.04

I have installed Viber and Skype, but where I'm out of application (ex. Viber), nobody can call me (in viber).
I can't use viber on this way because I can't be always on Viber.

Normal always I'm connected to Wi-Fi.

Please, how can I solve this problem?

Thank you.

NO! He does not have a push certificates problem because he has modem firmware 05.15.04 which only works to make & receive calls when the iPhone is factory unlocked or if you have the original SIM.

iTunes automatically activates & installs push certificates when it is factory unlocked (or if you have the original SIM) so there is no need to use http://www.pushfixer.com/ or the tutorial: [Solved] whited00r 6 Unlocked Push Notifications Quick Fix

He also wrote this, proof that his notifications are working:
