Which ones would you recommend deleting?  I had even more deleted in the past, but I feared some of the unknowns like nmbd and smbd were doing something useful.  I hear graphicsservices controls album art, but deleting doesn't break the Art so it must be doing something else.  Admin Lite, i'm iffy on, it is nice to have a frozen app auto-killed ^^ .

Well, I removed those top three, since I do use Push Notifications.  At this point though, I can't notice much more speed since it's already so fast. lol.

My phone has been unbelievably fast lately.  When I removed circuitous and switched to darlo's multitasker and installed backgrounder, it got even faster O_o somehow

I myself installed it again because I had previously removed it manually. :)

<Fri Feb 25, 2011 11:12 pm> [hr:6y4ygw6h][/hr:6y4ygw6h]

Now I'm running:

Backgrounder
Multifl0w
Winterboard

Believe it or not, but this is still really fast! I play Angry Birds with practically no lag, and opening and closing transitions are still fast.  I used pincrush on all my PNG's and that helped.

Hi there, I've got an iPhone 3G with WD 4.2 lite, and I'm wondering if it will help if I delete some launch daemons. And which ones should I select to be sure that I won't make a mistake?

Another question, does SBSettings slow down a lot my phone? Is it because of Mobile Substrate? Is there an alternative?

I don't really need Folders, so do you think it will be speeder if I remove it?

And to finish, and this has nothing to do with the rest of the post, is there anyway to use apps (or some of them) which seems to need 4.x firmwares?

Sorry for my approximative English (however I hope you'll understand), and thank you for your answers.

SBSettings doesn't do any good for your phone, no. The best alternative is the native Settings app. :)

Removing Folders yes, will speed it up. If you get v1.1 (viewtopic.php?f=15&t=97&start=1450#p12415 (http://www.whited00r.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=97&start=1450#p12415)) it'll probably be faster anyway, and you can keep Folders.

No, there is unfortunately no way of using apps which only run on 4.x.x. :(

Unless you have a theme or something installed, disable "Preference Loader" I had it on for the longest time cause I thought it was used to load my wallpaper. But it doesn't. You use ALL those things??

I've only got three running:
Backgrounder
Folders
Multitasking

I don't actually use Multitasking or Backgrounder all that much, the real reason I keep them is so I can get to the rotation lock! :P

They're still useful if I want to swap between apps though, most certainly.

Hey there, what do you exactly mean with

Multitasker
On which source can I find it? Or do you have a .deb?

The Multitasker is Darlo770's, and the backgrounder is the one that comes with Whited00r.  Go try Whited00r 4.3 Full and you'll have that included!
